NC Half Marathon™

The NC Half Marathon at the Charlotte Motor Speedway is the most fun running experience in North Carolina! This event is about experiencing the best in racing in the most unique and exclusive of all venues...the Charlotte Motor Speedway...where racing lives.

THE FASTEST MEDAL EVER

All our half marathon finishers will receive a huge medal with moving parts. That is right, the first starting tree with full on LED lights – definitely fit for the race of a lifetime. A unique and memorable medal to commemorate an unforgettable experience!

This amazing medal is beginning to make its tour around NC and beyond, so if you are running a race in the area stay tuned to see if someone there is wearing it Other medal appearances will take place at the Thunderoad Marathon, Richmond Marathon, OBX Marathon and more. Yes it is that special that we must unveil its "tour".

PARTY LIKE A WINNER POST RACE

DJ Chucky B will be spinning all your favority southern rock, country and party tunes. Relax, enjoy a cold Miller 64 and then get ready to dance.

The party starts as soon as the first person crosses that finish line to the checkered flag!

A COURSE LIKE NO OTHER

Go for the chase in this once-in-a-lifetime half marathon experience. Start right at the Charlotte Motor Speedway start line with the white flag waving in the air, run through the Speedway, towards the Dirt Track, and how about doing the Drag Strip too (that is right this is where you log your fastest mile). But don't stop there, finish to the checkered flag right on pit row, share your racing stories in the garage and bask in your glory in Victory Lane. And the mile markers? How about a stock car from the Richard Petty Driving Experience at every mile.

A WEEKEND FOR THE RACE FAN!

It is not just about the run, but the whole weekend experience! This event will host packet pick-up and a runners expo the day before the run at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The day of the event we will also host a 5K race for those not yet ready for 13.1 miles. But don't stop there....make this a weekend getaway and get to know Concord and all there is to do in the area. Plus, if you are up for it, why not book a drive along with the Richard Petty Experience on Saturday or Sunday of the event.

THE RACE APP

For the technical racer on the go what better way to have all the race weekend info than by downloading the FREE Race App. This APP will allow you to get your confirmation for packet pick up, find out about all the weekend activities, times, directions and more, get live results, chat with other runners, get updated race info, see the course map with its aid stations and water stations and so much more. The Race App is now ready to dowload.

NOT JUST ANOTHER RACE T-SHIRT

These technical tees are not only fit to make you comfortable and dry while racing, but they are also great looking tees that make a fashion statement. Choose to wear it on the day of the race or anytime after that, letting everyone know you ran the ultimate race circuit.

PERSONALIZED BIB

Whether your favorite driver's number is 4, 88 or 24, on raceday, your favorite number will be your own with your very own personalized bib number. Although your bib number will be randomly assigned by the timing system, let us know the name you would like us to print on the bib and get your very own personalized bib to get all those fans to call your name from the stands.

THE RICHARD PETTY DRIVING EXPERIENCE

And of course since this is where racing lives, this weekend would not be over without the opportunity to speed it up from your running pace to a whole 165 MPH. The Richard Petty Experience will be at the Speedway along with us all weekend tempting you to take that change and feel the ride, the speed and the experience. You can choose to ride along for 3 fantastic laps at 160 MPH, or you you can take it one step further and go for the Rookie Experience at a discounted half marathon rate...Read More...
